HAPPY VALENTINE'S

We keep trying to get the owners of these babies of ours to get them some toys to play with.  They just won't listen. Poor little guys have NOTHING to play with.

We are so far behind in news, we'll never get caught up. We may only have two adorable little sennie babies feeding now, we are sure staying busy in other departments!  First off Cooper has arrived, as well as Arbie has arrived. Their tests are fine and just yesterday they have been paired up with their new mates.  Muffin now has a boyfriend and Gillian has a wonderful new husband, Cooper. We sat them side by side for the first week, so they could become accustomed with each other.   I gotta tell you, when it came time yesterday  Gillian and Cooper were put in their new digs, it took her all of five seconds to be right over there checking that nest box out.  Never know we could have some brown headed babies sooner than we think!  Now wouldn't that be exciting!!!   MacGinnis is doing well in his new home.  Matter of fact we were up visiting him on the weekend in Fredericton.

That is where we took the magnificent pictures of Reese, the sun conure next door here. What an absolute delight that bird is!!  Not only is she magnificent to look her, her personality is every bit as wonderful.

Muffin, well what a clown she has turned out to be!!  Just a going concern and full of get up and go with a mind of her own.  Go near her and the head goes down for scrunches.  She gives Arbie a good head preening then pushes her head in under his chin, as if to say MY TURN.  One will never get bored with her around!  Here is a note from Muffin's sister, Kit's Mom:

Hi there! I hope you are doing well! I thought I should keep you appraised of the kissing situation with Kit. Since she has been here she has basically not had any beak kisses, but has had to watch Stash get as many as he wants because he can be trusted. Kit just gets too excited and bites the lip - on anyone! It seems that since she thinks my piercing are stupendously terrific (which makes her all feisty and she bites the lip in excitement, go figure) she thinks about them when other people offer her kisses! She just gets so excited she cannot contain it.

In any case, she is learning to say 'Can I have a kiss?' as Stash knows what it means and is learning to say it. He will mumble it and then give a kiss and say Thank You =) Kit is much further along in pronouncing the phrase, but she gets frustrated with the lack of kisses. I should mention that Stash gives kisses all over my head, making a distinct kiss sound simultaneously.

So they are having brekkie on Stash's cage as usual today and I am about a foot away when Kit asks for a kiss then rushes to give me a big open beak kiss on the cheek! She is SOOOOO SMART!!!

Honestly, she is possibly our smartest in the flock - INCLUDING our CAG. She even says thank you when she finds herself on the floor needing a stepup! Consistently!

Thanks again for this smarty-pants Kit-marou =))) I think she's getting extra scratches today!

Then you see Sophie and Quincy here.  They figure there is absolutely no need for them to remain in their cage while it is being cleaning!  They'd much rather be out harassing everyone else!

Then we have Miss Katie. She belongs to one of Jo's customers in Ontario.  She gets her mashes from Jo and as you can see Katie is well versed in manners and eats it off a spoon!  NO, Jo's babies do not come with those manners!!

Our sennie babies just graduated to their first little apartment yesterday and the oldest one here is checking out the water dish.

News of the month .........OUR JARDINES ARE FINALLY IN CANADA!  Third week of March, we will have two pairs of Greater Jardines sharing our home.  We are very excited about that, so much so, their new digs are already ready for them!

Then we have Focker Land, the little blue eyed senegal.  As you can see another bird seriously lacking in the toy department!!!  Might be our pictures and wording but his Mom has just done up our advertisement for the AACC Journal for this year and I have to tell you she has done an AWESOME JOB!!!

Chubber having his morning juice!!  Gosh we just sent this cup to him yesterday and today we have pictures!

Reese checking to ensure she has clean feet!

Reese and Jesse having a "stare off" to see if Jesse can be trusted.

Means she has determined he can be trusted she is now going to share her secrets with Jesse!!
