MARCH 2005 JOURNAL
EASTER BUNNY'S COMING SOON
|
Means we have lots of visitors so far this month, I guess we had better get Jo on the ball and get you loaded with all the news here. First news of the month, means we have so many folks waiting for this bit of news, we have lots and lots of wee linnie babes! They are only a week old, so we do not know all the mutations yet. One thing we can assure you is they are eating like they figure it's their last meal! Jo has been over a month now with no babies to feed, so she is right back into her glory feeding and nurturing these little joys. Of course, the big problem she is facing is Kandy. Jo made a mistake way back when of giving her a taste of formula. Have no fear, Kandy DID NOT forget this taste and is right there trying to scoff her share. Never, never underestimate the intelligence of these guys. We will have pictures here for you by nightfall. We thought we were going to have some nice ones now, but of course, what else is new, the batteries were dead in the camera! We also have three little lovebird babes that we are assuming will be all boys. This clutch is ed so we can tell you right away the sex of the babies. As for the big guys, well we figure we are keeping all that news under wraps for now. Jo dosen't want to jink herself! Now to add insult to injury in the "wraps" dept, we do have a lot more news we are working on!! Stay tuned and I'm sure within a week or so, Jo will let us spill the beans to you! Well we have to personally admit the top picture of Cuddles, Wiggles and Giggles has to be an all time favorite with us, but we are so pleased to say that Mr. Kyle here with Cuddles, Wiggles and Giggles sitting on his head here is just tickled pink. This picture he has been told will be featured in the June Edition of Bird Talk Magazine. How's that for exiting!! Then we have a picture of JoJo being spoiled by his Mama. I guess he loves to play and play hard. Next here, we have what lots of you's are waiting to see. The first four of the linnie babies, proud to be weighting in at 8, 12, 12 and 20 whole grams. (there is four here!). Tula has hatched 7 out of 7 again, so we had to give her some breathing room to feed the other babes. Then Chub here, who I might add weighed in at his usual 150 grams today, is proudly showing his splendid body off on all sides! So many big swings and toys these clowns have, and he chooses something so small to swing in. They have the sandy arch swing in their cage and they love that. Chub also has great news of his own he wishes to share. He is going to live with JoJo and have Dave as his Daddy and Jennifer as his Mom. They (Dave and Jennifer that is!) were here visiting yesterday and picking up some books and supplied they are ordered. Jo made the mistake (or was it!!) of bringing Kandy and Chub out for Dave and Jennifer to see. JoJo has always been Jennifer's boy, right from the get go. He will go to Dave, but the minute he sees Jennifer, bingo......he's gone right back to her. Yesterday here, you would have thought that Chub knew Dave all his life. He went to Dave, sat proud as could be on his shoulder, playing with his ears, snuggling into his face, he was quite content. Jennifer would try and get Chub from Dave, NO way Chub would step up onto her finger, he jumped OVER her finger to get to the other shoulder, out of Jennifer's way. So Jo says, well he'll come to me. NO WAY, did the same with Jo, jumped over her finger back to the other shoulder. He wanted to stay with Dave and that was that! Low and behold, Dave calls Jo this morning.........Chub has a new home!!!!!!!! Jo is so happy as she and Louis know first hand, what a wonderful home he will have. Now we just have to tell Jennifer this is DAVE'S BABY!! They are both boys, so they should get along just fine together, with no worries of babies down the road! Dave figures he also has a bonus, as Chub is already saying Nite Nite and JoJo is not talking yet. They can't pick him up for a couple weeks yet, so Jo will have to work on his speech, see if maybe he can go to his new home and teach JoJo a thing or two! ...................................my oh my, what a difference an hour can make. Dave just called and they are making the 2 1/2 hour trip tomorrow, down to get Chub! The new rules of their house in case you are wondering ...................Jennifer is not allowed 10 feet within Chub!! Speaking of swinging, Rosa downstairs this week got hanging by her toes from the top of her cage. She then proceeds to swing upside down, hanging by her toes, SO FAST Jo was scared she would loose grip and hurt herself! She LOVES swinging and hanging that girl. So how do you like my new toys. Mega chewing here, just what we ordered!! Beeper here folks. As you can see JO has been snapping pictures of Kandy and I like crazy this week. That's cause she has to let us go to our new digs next week. Boy's were not even gone yet and she misses us!
