Well, now that half the flock has had their say, it’s our turn!!. 

     Our names are Joanne and Louis Cormier.  We reside at 40 Fred Roy Road in Grand Barachois, New Brunswick.  Grand Barachois is just east of Shediac (as a matter of fact, we lived in Shediac, and sold to move here)  and we are on the old Route 133, on a little private dirt road.  Our house is just  300 feet from the ocean and we share the end of this little road with just two other neighbours.  The three of us neighbours each have large wooded properties.  Having said all that, we felt we had the ideal location to raise birds.  We share the outside world with the birds and the inside as well.  What the city folk hear in traffic,  Lou and I hear in bird chatter.  The city folk have come to visit us here, and just can’t imagine listening to our guys all day, day in and day out.  WE LOVE IT! And just couldn’t imagine life without them.  Even poor Nicky, our dog, puts up with them!! 

      After obtaining about a dozen or so lovebirds, Jo decided we should have an aviary name.  Since we have decided to stay with the breeding and raising of just small guys, we decided on Tiny Rascals Aviary.  Jo had a friend of her’s from Nova Scotia paint us a “Tiny Rascals Aviary” sign, painted freehand in oils,  for the end of our driveway.  Now here we are 5 years later,  our Rascals not all so small anymore.  We have expanded into the Mini Macaws with two pairs of Hahns beauties and into the Poicephalus family with Blue Belly Meyers, Brown Headed sometimes known as Emeralds, Red Bellies and a pair of Orange Breasted Senegals.
